Physical Education Teacher and Coach
Saint David’s School seeks a Physical Education teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. Saint David’s is an independent elementary school for boys, located in Manhattan. Founded in the Catholic tradition, the school welcomes everyone.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
· Teach physical education classes and coach intramural and interscholastic sports for grades Pre-K thru 8
· Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to develop units that showcase students’ skills and accomplishments
· Participate fully in department, student services, and faculty meetings
· Maintain effective professional communication with students, parents, teachers, and administrators through a variety of media, including meetings, conferences, and formal academic reports
· Engage in ongoing professional development
Qualifications and Preferences:
· Dynamic, hands-on Coach/Teacher who emphasizes problem solving while building essential skills and understanding in a variety of sports and physical activities
· Commitment to professional development and athletics curriculum development
· BS in field related to elementary education
· Facility with technology
· Commitment to boys’ education and character education
· Collegiality, flexibility, humor
Salary Range dependent on experience: $70,000 - $121,900
