Our application for the 2026-27 school year is now open.

Before and After School

Before the rush or after the bell, it’s still Saint David’s.

From early drop-off to the final bell and beyond, boys find space to grow—exploring passions, trying new interests, meeting with teachers, and forming friendships across grades. These moments offer more than just structure; they offer time for curiosity, connection, and discovery—right here on our 89th Street campus.

EARLY MORNING DROP-OFF

For families who need a little more flexibility at the start of the day, Saint David’s offers early drop-off beginning at 7:45 a.m. Boys gather in a welcoming, supervised space before heading to their homerooms. And, Grade Three Early Morning Book Club is a popular time to find a new favorite author and listen to the latest novel being read by our Lower School librarian.

AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAMS

Whether learning to play chess or football, experimenting with a new recipe or robotics, performing on ,stage or crafting stories for the school paper, boys do so in a setting that’s joyful, relaxed, and thoughtfully guided.

After School programming is offered each day until 3:30 p.m. for Alpha, Kindergarten, and Omega, and 5:00 p.m. for Grades One through Eight.

LIBRARY

For Upper School boys in Grades Four through Eight, the library offers a quiet space to read, study, or finish the day’s work through 5:30 p.m. Extended Care can also be arranged until 6:30 p.m. A calm, focused end to a full school day.

MATH LAB

Math Lab is an early morning space for extra questions, new challenges, or just a little more time with the schoolwide Problem of the Week. Open to boys in Grades One through Eight, it’s a place to prep for a quiz, get help with homework, or dive into a new concept. It’s one more way Saint David’s meets boys where they are.

WRITING WORKSHOP

In Writing Workshop, Upper School boys get time to focus and express themselves creatively. Whether it’s an analytical essay, a student council speech, a poem, or something all their own, they have space to hone their voice. Sessions are offered both before and after school, depending on the day of the week.

SATURDAY MORNING BASKETBALL

On Saturday mornings during the fall and winter terms, the gym comes to life. Boys in Grades One through Eight are invited to drop in for drills, scrimmages, and the simple joy of playing together. Guided by Saint David’s coaches, students build on the skills they’ve practiced during the week—dribbling, shooting, passing, defending—while gaining confidence and a deepening love for the game.
