Lower School Teacher

Saint David’s School seeks a Lower School teacher, Pre-K through Grade 3, for the 2026-2027 school year. Founded in the Catholic tradition, the school welcomes applicants of all faiths and traditions (or none). Through our Teaching Boys Initiative™, all educators receive support and professional development through mentorship, research opportunities, and summer study grants. At Saint David’s, every faculty and staff member are part of something larger: the formation of boys into good men.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Teaching core subjects

• Where appropriate, forming interdisciplinary connections, and integrating technology and inquiry based learning

• Collaborating with colleagues and administrators to develop signature units that showcase students’ thinking and presentation skills

• Participating fully in grade-level and faculty meetings

• Attending chapel and give chapel talks; attending lunch and special student activities such as class plays and concerts

• Maintaining effective professional communication with students, parents, teachers, and administrators through a variety of media, including meetings, conferences, and formal academic reports

• Engaging in ongoing professional development

• Maintaining strong, positive classroom culture and climate

Qualifications and Preferences:

• Dynamic, hands-on teacher who emphasizes problem solving while building essential knowledge

• Commitment to professional development and curriculum development

• BS and MS/Ed.M in a field related to elementary education

• Exceptional communication skills, including polished writing skills

• Facility with a variety of software programs

• Commitment to boys’ education and character education

• Collegiality, flexibility, humor

Salary Range dependent on experience: $70,000 - $121,900
