The Arts: Winter Concert Celebrates Boys' Musical Accomplishments
At Saint David’s, the arts are a formative part of each boy’s education—developing both the critical mind and the creative spirit. Music is woven throughout the Saint David’s experience—from foundational instruction in Pre-K through Grade Seven to a range of ensembles that invite deeper exploration. Recently, the Upper School ensembles - the Philharmonic Ensemble, the Percussion Ensemble, and the Chamber Singers performed for our annual Upper School Winter Concert.
The concert showcased the result of months of discipline, observation, passion, and practice, and the joy of making music together. Some of the pieces performed included Cripple Creek (arr. Edmund J. Siennicki), Orpheus In The Underworld (Jacques Offenbach, arr. Sandra Dackow), Spanish Dance No. 5, Andalauza (Enrique Granados), and You Get What You Give (The New Radicals)
