Using the Engineering Cycle

A Ball Run. Chair. House. Working in small teams, which will our second graders design, build, and test? In STEAM classes, they are learning tools, testing ideas, and solving problems as they use the iterative engineering cycle to construct these large-scale projects out of cardboard. 

Throughout the year, our second grade science program provides several opportunities for boys to explore science and technology concepts through hands-on investigations, scientific experimentation, and engineering projects. Along the way, they practice teamwork, persistence, and creative thinking in a hands-on, collaborative setting.
