"The Cup Stays Up" - Saint David's Victorious in Annual Osgood Cup

On what was a picturesque sunny fall afternoon in Central Park, Red Soccer proudly represented the school en route to a thrilling 1-0 victory.

“I am so proud of the way our boys played hard, stayed together, and remained composed throughout the match,” Athletic Director Pedro Morales remarked. “We kept out composure down the stretch and that was the difference in the game. It’s a testament to how our boys have been brought up and how our coaches cultivate that sense of culture.”

The winning goal was scored by seventh grader Thomas S. ‘28 off a free-kick rebound of eighth grader James T. ‘27. “The finish was a perfect example of teamwork,” Morales added. With the victory, the “(Osgood) cup stays up!”

Although unable for postgame commentary, Mr. Charles Osgood provided a written statement for the team, “I am so proud of your play and I give you my solemn word: barring another international emergency in Geneva, I shall be there next year! Until then, Go Saint David’s!”
