Signature Learning Experience: Digital Universe Field Study Begins

Sixth graders have begun their astronomy study with our teachers in collaboration with museum educators from the American Museum of Natural History. This months-long interdisciplinary unit takes place both on-site at the museum and in the boys' science and English classrooms. It culminates in a research-driven space show entirely written, produced, and narrated by the boys in the Hayden Planetarium in early March.

During their first three sessions, the boys viewed a planetarium show, visited the Hall of the Universe and participated in in-depth Q/A sessions with guest speakers including astrophysicists and astronomers.
