New York Stadium Day
The results are in. New York Stadium Day was a championship level event, a runaway hit. Some boys' reviews follow: "12 out of 10," "Awesome," "Wow," ... Even a "Best day of my life " - and that was from a teacher.
To kick off Halloween week, and in celebration of the second half of our 75th Anniversary year, the genius, generosity, and creativity of myriad parent volunteers and our faculty and staff transformed Saint David's for one day into New York stadiums and performance venues. There was Madison Square Garden and Radio City Music Hall, Yankee Stadium and The Apollo Theatre, The Delacorte Theatre in full blown "Romeo & Juliet" mode, games, contests, and so much more. And, the costumes ranged from hot dogs and concession stand vendors, to Harry Styles and Rangers' players, to the titular character from the musical Hamilton, who welcomed the boys to school for this special day, which blended our regular schedule of teaching and learning with a fun-filled celebration of community.
