Interdisciplinary Study of Ancient Egypt

During their exploration of the accomplishments and legacies of the ancient Egyptian civilization, fourth graders visit the Metropolitan Museum of Art. Their interdisciplinary study includes learning to think like historians as they also read books, write research reports and prepare presentations about ancient Egypt. In addition, fourth grade art and ceramics are closely linked to their learning and the boys create pottery and paintings inspired by traditional ancient Egypt culture.
