First Grade Authors Celebrate "Rotten Ralph"

Rotten Ralph Goes to Jack's House....Rotten Ralph Goes to Disney World...Rotten Ralph Goes to Soccer Camp.

Our first graders wrote and illustrated their own original Rotten Ralph books, and proudly shared them with their parents at the recent Rotten Ralph Author Celebration. The boys took their inspiration from Jack Gantos' Rotten Ralph series, about a mischievous, chaos-causing feline.

In the first grade reading and writing program, boys zoom in on meaningful moments, building vivid scenes with dialogue, strong word choice, and characters who learn and grow. They explore how problems unfold and get resolved—bringing shape, color, and truth to the page.
