There is nothing like experiencing first-hand the importance of democracy and citizenship. The Washington, D.C. study tour affords our sixth grade boys a wonderful opportunity to explore the United States capital and observe the institutions of our democracy in action. Highlights include visits to Gettysburg, The National Museum of African American History, a tour of the U.S. Capitol Building, Arlington National Cemetery, and an evening tour of national monuments. This year, the boys also had the opportunity to interact with members of the House of Representatives and were visited by an alumnus who works in Congress.

The activities that the boys participate in deepens their understanding of topics they have studied this year in their American history course.
