"A Celebration of Good"

Performing dances inspired by Maya Angelou, Malala Yousafzai, and The Community Tree Stewards, Saint David's third graders recently jumped, clapped, and leapt joyfully in A Celebration of Good -- the culminating performance of the grade's partnership with the National Dance Institute (NDI).

During ten weekly workshops led by performing arts educators from NDI, the boys deepened their musicality and developed their dance and performing arts skills. But, they didn't just learn how to dance. They learned the value of excellence in dance and the importance of hard work, focus, and teamwork in achieving personal and collective success. The boys also honed their critical and creative thinking skills as they learned to use movement as a tool to communicate, connect, and share ideas.
