The author of Josh: A Boy With Dyslexia, The Worst Speller in JR High, Zipper: The Kid With ADHD, and How Many Days Until Tomorrow? recently met with boys in Grade 3 in the Lower School Library. Ms. Janover shared stories of her struggles as a young learner with dyslexia, who persevered and eventually learned to read. As a teacher, she was eager to work with students who were smart, but needed to be taught in a different way. She wrote her books for her sons, who also struggled with learning and attentional differences. Ms. Janover encouraged the boys to always believe in themselves, work hard, and never give up, for if they do these things, they can one day reach their dreams!
