Thanksgiving at Saint David's is synonymous with the annual Thanksgiving Food Drive, a school-wide community action project led by the Eighth Grade, under the direction of teachers Tom Ryan and Gene Romanosky. Beginning in early November, boys sold pies to raise money for the purchase of turkeys and collected canned goods and nonperishables. On Monday and Tuesday the eighth graders boxed full meals, and on the day before Thanksgiving delivered them to two local parishes for distribution to those in need. The Thanksgiving Food Drive is the oldest community action project at the school.
