Representatives of the Seeing Eye Foundation were recently guests of honor at third and fourth grade chapel. Mr. Don MacGowan, Volunteer Program Coordinator, and Mrs. Kathy Murray, a graduate (with guide dog Mac!), along with Saint David’s alumni parent Mrs. Sally Connolly, attended chapel and spoke to the boys about the importance of community service. Mrs. Connolly noted how the program was begun at Saint David's by the late Connie Hays (mother of Henry '10), when Henry was in fourth grade. During the chapel, the Seeing Eye was presented with the fourth graders’ donation. Over the past month, fourth graders have been collecting money as part of the Pennies for Puppies campaign. The boys used collection boxes and also held a bake sale, raising a total of $2,125.
