Last week sixth graders were in Washington, D.C., on a tour in conjunction with their study of American History. The boys and their teachers visited several sites including the National Museum of American HIstory, the National Air and Space Museum, and the monuments. They also met with senior staff members for House Speaker Ryan and senators Gillibrand and Schumer, and a law clerk for Supreme Court Justice Kennedy. The three day trip ended with a tour of Mount Vernon and a wreath laying ceremony at Washingotn's tomb. Throughout the trip the boys sketched and reflected on the experience.
