Exclamations of "Wow!" "We did it, Mr. Donnelly!" "Look!" were in great supply during a recent visit to one of Brian Donnelly's Third Grade science labs. The boys are learning all about bubbles, and employing the scientific method as they test various hypotheses. Yesterday, they were charged with constructing bubble windows of various shapes and sizes out of colorful pipe cleaners, and creating bubble walls. Then, they worked together in small groups to push an object through the windows, and to shake hands through the walls, without breaking the bubbles. The boys tested a variety of methods, remained focused, and persisted until they met, gleefully, with success.
