Lower School / Middle School Spanish Immersion Teacher

Saint David’s School seeks qualified candidates for the position of Lower School/Middle School Spanish Immersion Teacher, effective September, 2012.  The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience teaching Spanish to primary aged children (Grades Pre-K through Four) using a full immersion approach

• Demonstrate the ability to plan lessons using authentic literature, games, and songs

• Demonstrate a knoweldge of Total Physical Response (TPR) techniques and engage multiple modalities so that students can retain information

• Work collaboratively with colleagues and the curriculum chair to implement and advance the expanding FLES program

• Demonstrate a willingness to integrate Spanish language instruction with other disciplines
