Spanish FLES Substitute Teacher

Saint David’s School seeks a substitute Spanish FLES teacher. The ideal candidate will:

• Have experience teaching Spanish using a full immersion approach

• Demonstrate the ability to execute lessons using authentic literature, games, and song

• Demonstrate a knowledge of Total Physical Response (TPR) techniques and engage multiple modalities so that students can retain information

Successful applicants should possess the following qualifications:

• Maturity, collegiality, flexibility, humor

• Excellent speaking and writing skills

• 3-5 years’ teaching experience

• BA in Elementary Education or related field; (MA in Spanish, Foreign Language instruction or a related field preferred)

• Native fluency in Spanish language
